MaPS, Inc. jumpstarted the E-911 & GPS/GIS project that was abandoned by Miller Mgmt./Benchmark GIS of Missoula, MT.  MaPS, Inc. provided the Lewistown Police Dept. with consulting services that included equipment, software and training on E-911 & GPS/GIS.  They mapped all of their own data with internal staff labor.  MaPS, Inc. processed their field work and provided them with final basemap data and GIS support.  The City of Lewistown’s Enhanced 9-1-1 System (City and surrounding Fergus County within the 538 telephone exchange) is “live” and Lewistown P.D. has been maintaining their data independently now for several years.  Petroleum and Judith Basin Counties recently joined the Lewistown P.D.’s E-911 System and consolidated as the "Central MT 9-1-1 Center." They are currently working toward completing their mapping/addressing to come fully on-line.

MaPS, Inc. also recently provided the Central MT 9-1-1 Center’s E-911 & GPS/GIS Coordinator with MapLogic Map Layout Manager software training to assist the development of detailed atlases.
