MaPS, Inc. completed
Chouteau
County
’s E-911 & GPS/GIS project that was started by
GeoResearch, Inc. of
Billings
,
MT.
MaPS, Inc.
conducted the Postal coordination tasks, prepared the
change-of-address notification letters, created the Master
Street Address Guide (MSAG) and Emergency Service Zone (ESZ)
databases and performed the telephone company coordination
(e.g. updating existing phone records with new addresses
and testing said records against the MSAG to reach 95% or
better accuracy). The
County’s Enhanced
9-1-1
System went “live” in 2001 using 3 Rivers Communications and Tel
Control Inc.’s ALI PRO dispatch display software based
on MaPS, Inc. and GeoResearch, Inc.’s GIS data via Qwest/Intrado’s
E-911 network. The
County has been maintaining their addressing databases (e.g. updating the GIS with
phone record and other changes).
MaPS, Inc. is providing ongoing consulting, GPS
field data collection and GIS mapping maintenance services
(e.g. mapping new construction of roads and structures on
a quarterly basis) including annual atlas and wall map
products. MaPS,
Inc. recently assisted
Chouteau
County
with roads mapping on the portion of the Rocky Boy Indian
Reservation that straddles the County’s northeast
corner. MaPS,
Inc. created an updated emergency services atlas with parcel boundary data and ownership
labels, including indexing.
Chouteau County recently upgraded to Positron’s
PowerMap dispatch display software. MaPS, Inc. recently
upgraded the County’s ESRI software from ArcView 3.3 to
9.2 and converted/updated the GIS to include from-addresss/to-address
ranges on the road network to facilitate emergency
responder routing and mapped ALI. Revised atlases were
recently produced and updated wall map layouts are
currently in production.
